fter stepping into 2026 with the launch of the R.O.C. ILCA4 and the R.O.C. Kosmos ILCA4 Regatta of Champions, The R.O.C. Organizers proudly announce a new partnership with Vakaros, bringing RaceSense race management and performance technology to youth sailing events.
This partnership introduces live tracking, automated race management, and data driven performance analytics to The R.O.C. competitions, helping young sailors learn faster, race smarter, and compete in fairer and more efficient events. By delivering real time race insights and precise performance feedback, RaceSense technology enables sailors, coaches, and organizers to better understand racing decisions and accelerate athlete development.
Vakaros, founded in Seattle in 2016, specializes in high precision sailing electronics and performance tools designed for competitive sailors and performance-oriented cruisers. Its flagship Atlas 2 instrument and RaceSense platform combine dual band GNSS positioning, high frequency data logging, and automated race management tools that provide accurate start line data, live fleet tracking, and tactical race analysis.
Through this collaboration, The R.O.C. events will leverage RaceSense technology to deliver professional level race management and performance analysis, bringing new opportunities for young sailors to improve their tactical decisions, boat handling, and race awareness.
"Couldn't have a better match. The most unique and advanced youth regatta teams up with pioneers like Vakaros to help build a stronger future in youth sailing. This partnership not only elevates our events but also strengthens development pathways for the next generation of sailors," said Stelios Charalambous, President of Famagusta Nautical Club and Chairman of The R.O.C..
Will Huerth, Global Sales Director at Vakaros, added:
"Our goal with RaceSense is simple. Help sailors get faster and help organizers run better races. By bringing live tracking, automated race management, and performance analytics to The R.O.C. events, we give young sailors tools that help them learn quicker, sail higher, and compete in races that are more fair and more efficient. We are excited to support The R.O.C. and help grow the next generation of champions."
