fter years of confrontation, justice is served and recognition is accomplished, following the January IODA ExCom meeting where the decision was finally taken to treat The R.O.C. equally as any other Optimist Regatta, in the world. For years, we kept silent regarding the offensive treatment of IODA, but the respond of the sailors, coaches, parents, partners, officials and people involved in the Class, as well as the success of the event, made things turn around to reach the point where we look forward for even much better days.
We thank all of you for your trust and support all these years and we commit to you that The Regatta of Champions will be a Class Act event, at the top of the pyramid of youth sailing. You should all be proud for being part of this great development and success of The R.O.C..
