fter the great success of The 1st Ever R.O.C. Kosmos in June of 2024, at Kalamaki Nautical Club, in Athens Greece and the high demand of Coaches, Sailors and Parents to repeat it, the Organizers of The Regatta of Champions – The R.O.C. announce the continuation of the event for 2025.
This unique event, again, will take place at Kalamaki Nautical Club, in Athens Greece, between July 24th to July 31st. To control the entries (max 260) of each country, a Nations Ranking will be used. To keep the event at a high level of performance, sailors would be asked to present proof of their National Ranking.
The top 10 countries of the Nations Ranking will be permitted for 12 entries with sailors being ranked in the top 40 of their National ranking.
The next top 10 countries of the Nations Ranking will be permitted for 9 entries with sailors being ranked in the top 30 of their National ranking.
Countries not ranked in the top 20 of the Nations Ranking, but are listed above 20 will be permitted for 5 entries with sailors being ranked in the top 20 of their National ranking.
Countries not ranked in the top 20 of the Nations Cup and are not listed above at all in the Nations Ranking will be permitted for 2 entries with sailors being ranked in the top 5 of their National ranking.
Entries will be accepted using the first come first served method, but at the end the National ranking of each sailor will be taken under consideration. All entries will be evaluated by our Technical Committee. For additional entries beyond the Nations Ranking, priority will be given to Sailors of higher national ranking and those already paid their entry fee. In cases where entry fee is paid but sailor does not fulfill the requirements, a full refund will be issued.
The R.O.C. Kosmos will be a week-long event with 5 racing days and hopefully 20 races completed, using a lot of The R.O.C. format. Three fleets will be created, of approximately 85 each, racing daily in two different race courses.
Optimist Charters will be through the Sailors’ Entry form via the NewBlue Charter platform with the deadline of April 30th 2025. Please make your bookings on time.
A R.O.C. Clinic will also take place prior to The R.O.C. Kosmos where at least 2 R.O.C. Wild Card Invitations will be passed out. The Clinic will take place at Kalamaki Nautical Club as well with Coaches Fernando Alegre, Antonis Drosopoulos & ………………………..
